How can I make $2,000 per week with just my laptop?

Most answers to this question are focusing on the technical aspects which, don’t get me wrong, is not all that bad.

But here’s the problem with that:
When you are just looking for fast-methods to make money, you’ll quickly find yourself jumping from one way to another. The grass is always greener on the other side, right?
On Monday, you’ll try to make money with Amazon affiliates.
On Tuesday, you’ll move to drop shipping instead.
On Wednesday, you’ll now try to run a social media agency (hi, Tai Lopez).
By Thursday, you’ll give up and just sit in your couch to watch Netflix.
Trust me, you don’t want that.

So, what can you do instead? What is the safest way to reach your financial goals while also fulfilling your search for meaning in life?

All you need is a marketable skill.
“Marti, what are you even talking about? How does that make me money?”

Marketable skills are something that you know how to do at a high-level and that you can get paid for.
They are like a safety net because you can always go back to them when needed.
For me, my biggest marketable skill I have is writing. I ghostwrite for CEOs, Investors, and Founders—and I do that for a living.
Writing is a weapon I have added to my arsenal. The more weapons, the higher the chances of making money.
“Ok, but I don’t like writing. What else can I do?”

No worries, there are dozens and dozens of them:
You can be a trader, you can be good at
website design,
programming,
digital ads,
app building,
 typing,
public speaking,
video editing,
 photoshop…
Anything you can think of. These are all skills that can make you way more than $2k/week.

“That sounds great and I see something I like, but I am not good at it yet. What can I do?”

Congratulations, you live in the golden era of learning. It’s full of opportunities. You can learn about anything online for free—as long as you focus, put the time, and work on it.
Youtube has tutorials that range all disciplines and marketable skills. Udemyoffers great courses either for free or for barely nothing.
I know something: my answer won’t be popular, and that’s fine.
Why? Because it is not based around a get-rich-quick scheme. I don’t want to sell you anything. I don’t have models or expensive cars. It’s based on principles and dedication instead.
People don’t like it when I talk about marketable skills.
It takes time. It take a lot of effort. You don’t become skilled in a day. Or a month. Or even a year.
But the truth is this: it works. As long as you have the work ethic needed, you can become a professional ___________. Fill that blank with whatever you want: photographer, writer, marketer, web designer. Anything
